My brain, stomach and lungs remain clear! The liver still has residual signs of where the tumors were, but the remaining spots continue to shrink in size. I have unexplained stomach pain most mornings and continue to take a low dose of cortisone to help with low cortisol levels. Besides that life has returned to some level of normalcy and I am on 3 month follow up visits with MRI and CT scans. The Nivolumab was discontinued about 4 months ago after my pancreas flared up. As of the last appointment the Oncologists decided I will not resume Nivolumab. He thinks my immune system has learned to recognize the mutations and will continue to respond on its own. This treatment is working for about half of metastatic melanoma patients. I hope they figure out how to help the other half very soon.
Love to all, Erica
